Demolition funding awarded for Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house

The Ohio Department of Development has announced a November 2024 round of 61 demolition and site revitalization awards including 14 sites in Hardin County. The site at 821 South Gilbert Street, Ada is the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house which was damaged by freezing pipes and has been gutted in preparation for demolition.
Three residential properties in Alger have been awarded demolition funding.
Hardin County has been awarded a total of $500,000 for 14 sites, listed below. The application was made by the Hardin County Regional Planning Commission.
