Bulldog volleyball sweeps Royals

BLOOMDALE __ The visiting Ada High School volleyball team defeated Elmwood in straight sets in a Blanchard Valley Conference match Monday evening, September 16.
The Bulldogs improved to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the BVC this season after the hard-fought 26-24, 25-20, 25-22 road victory.
Elmwood fell to 3-9 overall and 1-2 in the BVC with the defeat.
Sophomore Brooklyn Andreasen drilled a season-high 10 kills and made one block.
Senior Tess Griffith knocked down seven kills. Junior Anna Conley hammered five kills and made one block.
Senior libero Jenna Bassitt topped the Bulldogs in digs with 19. Senior Kennedy Jones served three aces.
Sophomore setter Jaylin St. Laurent passed out 26 assists and hustled up 10 digs.
Ada returns home after four straight road matches to host new league rival Arlington (10-3, 1-1 BVC) Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Bulldogs are 3-2 at home.
Ada then hosts first-place Leipsic (11-0, 4-0 BVC) Monday. Sept. 23, and entertains Van Buren (8-2, 2-1 BVC) Sept. 25 in a pair of tough league matches to conclude a three-match homestand.
