The Ada girls soccer team placed seven players on the All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association teams in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Second-year head coach Doug Dewese was voted North Central Ohio Soccer Association Coach of the Year.

He led Ada to a program record-tying seven wins and a 7-5-3 overall regular season record. The Bulldog girls were 2-2-1 in the rugged NCOSA to finish third out of six teams, believed to be the best league finish in team history.

Ada senior Ella Marshall repeated again as first team All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association for the fourth straight season.

She broke her own Ada program single-season record with 19 goals, and she also set the mark for career goals with 50.

Senior Olivia Burkhart was voted second team All-NCOSA again. She is one of the all-time assist leaders in program annals, and holds the record for assists in a season.

Senior goalkeeper Katie Sizemore was also voted second team All-NCOSA. She posted three shutouts in goal to tie a program season record.

Seniors Karmen Hall and Jenna Rodrigues, junior Lexi Poling and sophomore Alex Gibson were all voted honorable mention All-NCOSA.

Ranked ninth in the Div. II state poll, Liberty-Benton won the NCOSA title at 5-0, followed by Van Buren (3-1-1).

Ada was also 2-3-1 in the Northwest Conference, good for fourth place in the seven-team league.

Bluffton repeated as NWC champs at 5-0-1, finishing just ahead of Allen East (5-1) and Columbus Grove (4-1-1).

All-NWC honors will be announced next week.
