Possible scammers claiming vaccine distribution
According to the Kenton-Hardin Health Department several counties in the state have shared that individuals have been contacted by potential scammers trying to get Social Security numbers and credit card information claiming it is for vaccine distribution.
Kelsey Ralston of the department said, "No providers in the county will ask for your credit card information for payment.
"As some providers are asking for insurance information they may collect other information but you are not required to share that over the phone, providers can collect that information at the vaccine clinic site.
"If you are unsure, please do not share that information over the phone, let them know you will provide it in person at your vaccine appointment.
As vaccine is still very limited locally visit the health department website for more information on local providers in our area. www.hardinhealth.org/vaccine
