Jimmie I. Vandemark, 72, died on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at 8:44 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.
He was born on Jan. 28, 1942, in Bluffton, to Irvin E. and Edna Mae (Hassan) Vandemark and they preceded him in death.
He retired from Lima Memorial Hospital in 2002 after working 35 years in the Housekeeping Department. He was a member of the Church of Christ Disciples of Ada. Jimmie was a 1960 graduate of Ada High School.
Surviving are three sisters: Joyce Long of Ada, Janet (Lauren) Eibling of Kenton, and JoAnn (Delbert) Henry of Ada; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edison Long.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Harrison Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada.
Friends may call 3 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
