Ada Barnyard Farmers elect officers for coming year

The Ada Barnyard Farmers 4-H Club met for the second time this year last Sunday, March 30th, at 3 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Vice President Brice Ferguson. Roll was called by Secretary Shelby Hazelton. There were twenty-one members present. New business included a recap of a recent poultry show, dates for quality assurance training, and the introduction of Amy Stover as a new advisor. Project books and new shirts were distributed.
The 2014 club officers were elected as follows: President – Alexis Amburgey, Vice President – Noah Beach, Secretary – Shelby Hazelton, Treasurer – Brice Ferguson, Recreation Officer – Austin Amburgey, Health and Safety Officer – Hope Hazelton, Photographer – Kayla Wince, and Reporter – Caralee Stover.
Four demonstrations were given, including Anney Archer on the History of the Ohio State Fair, Brittney Archer on Penguins, Brice Ferguson on Sheep and the Cache Valley Virus, and Riley Ferguson on Box Turtles. Riley brought his twenty-seven year old Box turtle to show the club. Refreshments were provided by the Archers and the Fergusons.
The club will meet again on Sunday, April 27th at 3pm.
