ONU to present lecture on ‘It All Started Here: A Veterinarian’s Perspective’

The Ohio Northern University Getty College of Arts & Sciences will present a lecture by Peter Haase, titled “It All Started Here. A Veterinarian’s Perspective: How My Degree from ONU Made Me a Lifelong Student,” in the Dicke Forum on Monday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

 

The event is free and open to the public.

Haase, who graduated from ONU with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1992, fully embraces being a student of life. He will touch on his experiences at ONU and how they impacted his life, and he will relay the wisdom he’s gained during his 17-year career as a veterinarian. This will include a wide a range of topics such as regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy, orthopedic surgery and exotic cat medicine.

Haase has been a staff veterinarian and medical director at Care Animal Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., for the past 15 years. A certified canine rehabilitation practitioner, his professional interests also include surgery and regenerative medicine. Haase graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
