Hardin Democrats set fall campaign luncheon Oct. 12

Two new officers and one precinct representative were elected to fill vacancies at the August meeting of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees held in the Banquet Room at Brunson’s Restaurant.  

Daryl Flowers (Goshen Township) was elected as Vice Chair and Russell Frost (Kenton 4) was elected Treasurer.  Ruth Ann Cook was elected as Pleasant Township Precinct Representative.  All elections were unanimous.  Treasurer and Pleasant Township Precinct Representative Lynn Rainsburg’s resignation was unanimously accepted and she was thanked for her service to the Hardin County Democrats.

Final plans were made for the Democrat Booth at the Hardin County Fair.  Volunteers will meet to set up the booth on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.   Please join us if you are able.   The sign-up sheet for the fair will be in the booth starting at the setup.  If you would like to volunteer you can also email or call Don Traxler, [email protected] or 419-234-8506 (cell).

Plans were announced for the Fall Campaign Luncheon to held at noon Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church north of Kenton on State Route 68 at 13502 Township Road 80. 

The baked chicken breast and all the trimmings luncheon will be prepared by the members of one of the Sunday School classes.  Tickets for this event will be sold at the Democrat Fair Booth and will also be available from members of the Central and Executive Committees.  The speakers will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.

The following statewide candidates were unanimously endorsed:  Ed FitzGerald for Governor, David Pepper for Attorney General and Connie Pillach for Treasurer.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at a location to be announced.
