Bassitt struck out 196 batters in 129.7 innings pitched this spring, retiring 49 of them on called third strikes. She pitched 20 complete games. Her 17 victories set a program record for wins in a season. She is also a speedy, instinctive baserunner.

Bassitt led Ada to an 18-4 overall record and second place in the Northwest Conference with a 7-1 mark in 2024. She was named first team all-league for the third straight season, and repeated as first team all-district.

Only first team all-district picks are eligible for the all-state voting.

Ada fashioned a 12-game win streak this season and advanced to districts for the first time since the 2018 Bulldogs made it to the regional semifinals.

The 18 Lady Bulldog wins in 2024 set a new program record for victories in a single season.

Bassitt joins Maddie Gossard and Sydney Newland from the 2018 Ada team as Lady Bulldog all-state softball selections.

Third baseman Gossard and catcher Newland were also named second team All-Ohio as seniors that spring after helping Ada to a 17-9 record and the first district title in program history.

Gossard hit .518 with nine home runs and 48 runs batted in during the 2018 season. She went on to play four years at Heidelberg University. Newland batted .557 with 16 doubles, four homers and 47 runs in 2018.

Ada won 57 of 98 games in the standout duo’s four seasons as Bulldogs.

Bassitt has led Ada to a 39-25 record in her three seasons so far. The Bulldog girls finished in sole possession of second place in the NWC in each of the past two seasons at 7=1.

The senior-laden Bulldogs move to the Blanchard Valley Conference next season.
