At the November meeting of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, two participants in the current Hardin County Leadership Project introduced members to an opportunity to put area businesses and organizations on a virtual map for the entire county.
Maylene Deckling and Remie Longbrake spoke about their work to expand a map project initiated by Ohio Northern University business students. They seek to use it as a springboard for a county-wide initiative.
The finished project will be called Hardin County Connected. For-profit businesses, nonprofits and government organizations may add their contact information to the growing resource that currently shows business addresses and phone numbers.
Businesses and organizations that would like to be included in Hardin County Connected may fill out a form at https://bit.ly/hardincountyconnected/ which collects the following information:
- Email address
- Hours of operation
- Logo file
- Social media link
- A description of your business or organization
The map can be accessed at https://bit.ly/HCCMAP When the Icon viewed the map on December 7, it had 11,671 views.
