ODOT will present alternatives for proposed traffic flow improvement in Kenton

The city of Kenton and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host an open house public meeting to present information and solicit public comment on alternatives for the proposed reroute of U.S. 68 and State Route 31.

The meeting will be held Thursday, November 16, at the Hardin County Municipal Courthouse – Veterans’ Hall, Suite 100A, located at 1 Courthouse Square, Kenton.

The meeting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with a formal presentation beginning at 6 p.m.

The city and ODOT, and their consultant, TRC Companies, Dublin, are working on a feasibility study focusing on solutions to the traffic flow and congestion issues in the downtown Kenton area. The study is evaluating a variety of roadway reconfiguration alternatives between U.S. 68 and State Route 31 in the vicinity of Perry Street, south of the Scioto River.

Throughout the public meeting, exhibits illustrating the alternatives under consideration will be displayed and representatives from the project team will be available to provide information and address questions. The public is welcome to attend any time during open house hours to review the exhibits and ask questions.

The presentation and meeting materials will be posted online following the meeting for public review and comment here:
