Coming off a road loss in the league opener, the Ada High School football team returns home to face undefeated Leipsic in a key Northwest Conference week five contest Friday, September 15.
It will be the first home game for the Bulldogs since beating USV 24-22 in the season-opener.
The Vikings improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the NWC with a 21-0 home win over defending league champion Allen East this past Friday.
“Leipsic is very good and we are going to have to be at the top of our game if we expect to compete,” said Ada head coach Toby Smith.
“They run multiple offensive formations and multiple defensive fronts based on your offensive strength,” he noted.
The Vikings boast the NWC’s top scorer in RB/WR/kick returner Quinn Schroeder. Leipsic has one of the top running attacks in the league and features a staunch defense that allows just 8.3 ppg.
The Vikings have outscored their first four opponents 115-33 this season. The Bulldogs have been outscored by their four foes, 135-101.
Ada lost at Leipsic 47-14 last year.
Leipsic is tied for fifth in the latest Div. II, Region 26 computer rankings, while Ada dropped from ninth to 14th.
Crestview moved up to seventh in region 26 with the week four win over the Bulldogs.
