HARDIN COUNTY--Here's the invitation for the August 31 Northwest Ohio Agronomic Field Day from OSU Extension:
Join us for the 2023 Northwest Ohio Agronomic Field Day, where we will be discussing new corn and soybean practices that you can apply on your farm. Topics this year include the following: Battle for the Belt, Who Will Win? – Corn vs. Soybeans; Managing Slugs with Radish Cover Crops; Intensive Corn Management, What Pays (and What Doesn’t); What is the Right Nitrogen Rate for Corn Following a Cover Crop?; Effect of Xyway® LFR® Fungicide on Corn.
The field day will be held at the Northwest Agricultural Research Station, 4240 Range Line Road, Custar, OH 43511 in Wood County on Thursday, August 31. There is no cost to attend, but please RSVP by August 25 to reserve your free lunch courtesy of Ohio Soybean Council. Presenters will include Osler Ortez, OSU Extension Corn Specialist; Laura Lindsey, OSU Extension Soybean Specialist; Rachel Cochran, OSU Extension Water Quality Associate; Nick Eckel, OSU Extension Educator Wood County; and Stephanie Karhoff, OSU Extension Agronomic Crops Field Specialist.
