In November, the Icon reported on the introduction of new Ada community leaders. In collaboration with Ohio Northern's Office of Communication & Marketing, we are also introducing new faculty members. This is the second of several installments.
Kimberly Breedon is an Assistant Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University College of Law, where she teaches Property, Wills & Estates, and Legislation & Statutory Interpretation.
Her academic research focuses primarily on the constitutional and international law dimensions of corruption, or potential corruption, by government officials. She has published articles in several major law journals and has presented her work at international and national conferences, symposia, and workshops. Most recently, she was invited by the University of Copenhagen and the Royal Danish Defense Academy to present her paper, Disinformation, Corruption, and International Law, at a conference on Nordic Perspectives on the International Legal Regulation of Cyberspace (University of Copenhagen, September 2022). Prof. Breedon earned her J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and her LL.M. from Columbia University Law School. She enjoys hiking and winter sports, and she has a penchant for bad puns.
Abby Clark is an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering department. Originally from Grove City, Ohio, Abby earned her bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ONU in 2012. She then spent several years as a researcher at Battelle in Columbus, Ohio, before attending graduate school at Ohio State. At OSU, she earned a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Education. Outside of work, Abby volunteers with the Girl Scouts, and enjoys playing board games with her family, reading, and crafting.

Xiangyi Cheng is an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at ONU. She is exploring interactive teaching techniques and investigating how to integrate more technology into class. She loves multidisciplinary applications and research such as robotics and human-computer interaction, which always drive her to look at a problem from different perspectives. Interestingly, she designed a tangible serious game for cognitive assessment as part of her Ph.D. research in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University. Xiangyi is also a roller coaster enthusiast, so she is excited to live an hour and a half away from Cedar Point!
