Sally H. Marshall, age 86, of Roundhead, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 8:52 p.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on October 16, 1935, in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Wade and Goldia Waddle. On October 2, 1954, in Kenton, Sally married Fredrick Hayes Marshall and they were married for fifty-five years. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2009.
Sally is survived by her two children: Steven Marshall and Kimberly Neeley both of Roundhead; three grandchildren: Jaclyn (Dmitry) Peresetsky, Angela Marie, Jamie (Travis) Sanders, and Brittany Shepherd; eight great grandchildren: Misha Dmitry, Maksym Wayne, Quinn Anthony, Connor Hayes, Alex Wayne, Beau Austin, Knox Walker, and Oakley Austin Shepherd-Lopez; two sisters: Jeanie (David) Kah of Kenton, and Elizabeth Sue Ross of Mechanicsburg, PA; and a sister-in-law, Lorrene Waddle of Roundhead.
She was preceded in death her son, Fredrick Wade Marshall; daughter, Sally Louise Shepherd; grandson, Austin Tyler Shepherd; four brothers: Darce Waddle, Donald Waddle, Ronald Waddle, and Raymond Waddle; three sisters: Mary Emberling, Ruby Shumaker, and Ruth Waddle; and a son-in-law, Beecher Wayne Shepherd.
Sally retired in 2010 from Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton after working for twenty-six years as the dietary manager. She enjoyed going on trips and interacting with the residents of the nursing home. She attended Upper Scioto Valley High School, and she received her Dietary Manager Certificate at Rhode State College. She dedicated her life to service and helping others. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent a lot of her time with them. She was a member of the Kenton Moose Lodge and Soroptimist Club of Kenton. Sally enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, decorating for the holidays, presentation was very important to her. She also enjoyed going to garage sales, arts, crafts, and watching the birds from her sun porch.
A public graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton with Pastor David Kah officiating.
