Donations sought for Athletic Boosters raffle

April 9 event includes Reverse Raffle and meal ticket sales

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, the Ada Athletic Boosters will hold the Annual Reverse Raffle at the Harrod Community Center, 9520 Harrod Rd, Harrod, OH. Members of the community may support the event by purchasing raffle and meal tickets, as well as by donating auction items.

The organization provides $30 to each junior high and senior high athlete to help with the cost of shoes, shirts or any other item that coaches may request. This past year the athletic boosters have supported:

JJ Huddle upgrades with live streaming and ball tracer technology

Senior banners

Programs for all seasons

$30/player for gear

Elementary sports league dues/fees

Coach(es) dues/fees

The organization has issued the following invitation:

“We are looking for donations to auction off at our April 9 event. It can be a monetary donation or any item that you would like to give. If you choose to donate something, we will list your business or individual name on a sponsor board. All donations must be received by March 1 to be placed on the sponsor board. No donation is too big or too small. You can contact [Athletic Boosters members] and they would be happy to pick up your item. Monetary donations can be mailed to Ada Athletic Boosters, Attn:

Amanda Henson, 3660 County Road 1, Ada, OH 45810.

“To explain a little bit about the way the Reverse Raffle works, we will sell 300 tickets at $100 each which includes one meal. An additional meal ticket can be purchased for $20 when purchasing a raffle ticket. The last 10 ticket holders to be drawn will receive a total sum of $15,550. If you would like to purchase a ticket, please contact Amanda Henson at 419-234-7563 or [email protected].

“The reverse raffle is our largest annual fundraising event which will help boost all Ada athletics. With the COVID-19 Pandemic we were not able to gather and fundraise to meet our annual goal last year. In short, our teams need this event to be largely successful!”
