Lady Bulldogs overpowered by Van Buren in second half

The visiting Ada girls basketball team trailed by just three points to Van Buren at intermission, but got outscored 34-18 in the second half to lose 58-39 in non-conference girls basketball play Tuesday night, December 14.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-6 with the defeat. The Lady Black Knights improved to 5-1 with the victory.

The contest was tied 11-11 after one period of play, and VB inched ahead 24-21 at halftime. The Black Knights then took control with a 16-7 third period, and won the final stanza 18-11.

Senior Kirsten Poling scored three points in her first game back from knee surgery. Freshman Lexi Poling tallied six points by canning a pair of trifectas.
