Carol Mae Hoffer was a homemaker
Carol Mae Hoffer, age 59, passed away on October 1, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., at Mercy Health St. Rita's Hospital.
Carol was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Robert Carman, who preceded her in death, and Helga (Michelfelder) Carman who survives. On June 6, 1986 she married Mark Hoffer, who survives in Ada.
She was a gifted homemaker as well as a loving wife and mother. She had a passion for animals, especially her dog Sparky, and bred dogs with her husband for many years. She enjoyed being in the great outdoors, gardening, and particularly loved roses. She had a talent for helping others, and was known by many for her giving nature. She had always been a fighter, as she battled illness with grace and tenacity in order to be there for those closest to her. She loved her family above all else, and could always be relied on for her kindness and loving spirit. Carol was an exceptional woman, and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Survivors include: mother, Helga Carman; spouse, Mark Hoffer; Son, Andrew (Meagan) Hoffer; brother, Roger Carman; niece and nephew, Dennis (Inga) Carman and Jenny Carman; as well as beloved canine companion, Sparky.
Preceded in death by: her father, Robert Carman; as well as her brother, Robert Carman.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Fisher Cemetery in Lafayette, Ohio. Pastor Bob Clinger will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
