Two Saturday Ada events offer an assort of entertainment for area residents.
• Ada VFW park-in-the-park: noon to 5 p.m.
• Hardin County Tractor Pullers: gates open 4 p.m., pull starts 7 p.m.

Park-in-the-park
Ada’s VFW second annual park-in-the-park car, truck and bike show takes place from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 12.
Last year’s event hosted nearly 100 vehicles. It is held at the War Memorial Park offering over six acres of shaded and open space and takes place rain or shine.
Registration is now underway. Here are the details:
• Registration fee is $10. Trophies are awarded for the top 20 plus 23 additional classes(courtesy 4 Seasons Drive-Thru).
• Awards and raffles take place at 5 p.m.
• Wooden dog tags go to the first 200 entries, courtesy of Opa’s Woodworks. The event also includes a raffle for a Sarka stainless steel grill.
Silent auctions include:
• Antique pedal car – from Hughes Body Shop
• Large box of meat – from Keystone Meats
• Mountain of beer or $150
• Mechanics Creeper/seat
Tee-shirts promoting the event will be on sale. A military exhibit will take place and an Abrams mini-tank will be exhibited.
Golf carts are courtesy D & J Golf Carts, Ada. A food truck will be on site from Mid-West Bar-B-Que and Catering, Ada.
Proceeds from the show benefit Blue Star Mothers of Hardin County and the Ada War Memorial Park.
Saturday night - Hardin County Pullers
The Hardin County Pullers host its first tractor and truck pull of the summer on Saturday, June 12, at the Ada War Memorial Park, according to Chris Vermillion of the club.
Gates open at 4 p.m. and competition begins at 7 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults, kids 10 and under free with a paid adult, senior citizen and veterans free admission.
