Six members of the Ohio Northern women's tennis team were named All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2021 in voting conducted by the league's seven head coaches.
Freshman Olivia Kesner (Lima/Central Catholic) was named First Team All-Conference, junior Ola Latala (Grosse Isle, Mich.), sophomore Regan Landis (Elkhart, Ind./Concord) and senior Mackenzie Wills (Ada) were named Second Team All-OAC and seniors Katie Curry (Oxford/Talawanda) and Jordan Dodson (Worthington) received Honorable Mention All-League honors.
Kesner was 6-2 in singles play, going 3-2 at No. 2 and 3-0 at No. 3 and was 6-3 at No. 1 doubles for a 12-5 overall record to grab First Team kudos in her rookie season at ONU.
Latala was 3-5 at No. 1 singles and 6-3 at No. 1 doubles with Kesner to post a 9-8 overall record.
In her two seasons at ONU, she is 23-12 in singles, 25-5 in doubles and 48-17 overall.
Landis was 5-3 in singles play, going 3-1 at No. 2 and 2-2 at No. 3. She was a perfect 9-0 at No. 3 doubles for a 14-3 overall record this season.
She has career records of 17-5 in singles, 21-4 in doubles and is 38-9 overall.
Wills was 8-0 in singles play, going 1-0 at No. 4, 4-0 at No. 4 and 3-0 at No. 5. She was also 8-1 in doubles and finished the season with a 16-1 record.
In five seasons at ONU, Wills is the school's all-time career leader with a 90-18 singles record and a 177-49 overall record. She also ranks second with an 87-31 doubles mark.
Curry is making her second appearance on the All-OAC squad, as she earned Honorable Mention kudos as a junior in 2019.
She set a single-season school record this year with a perfect 17-0 record. She was 8-0 in singles, going 4-0 at both Nos. 4 and 5, and was 9-0 with Landis at No. 3 doubles.
In her five seasons as a Polar Bear, Curry ranks third all-time in ONU history with an 81-20 singles record and she is fifth all-time with a 158-53 overall record. She is also 67-33 in doubles play, which ranks her just two wins outside of ONU's top-10 in that category.
Dodson was 7-1 in singles play, playing primarily at No. 6.
In her five seasons at Ohio Northern, she is 40-13 in singles, 13-8 in doubles and 54-21 overall.
The Polar Bears finished the abbreviated 2021 season with an 8-2 record. ONU finished second in the OAC regular season standings with a 6-1 mark and reached the semifinals of the OAC Tournament under 20th-year head coach Scott Wills.
