Hardin County 4-H is ready to kick off the 2021 season with in-person club meetings.
Ohio State University Extension has released that 4-H clubs may meet in person in 2021 if they follow all the health guidelines from both OSU and their local county health department.
These guidelines include:
• All members, volunteers, and guests wear masks at all times (indoors and outdoors)
• Social distancing of 6 feet between family units is maintained
• No food or beverages served at meetings
• Sanitation stations are set up in the meeting space
• Signage is posted in the meeting space about COVID protocols and sanitation
The Hardin County OSU Extension Office has completed 4-H volunteer kick off meetings for 2021 and is ready for 4-H members to begin enrolling.
Each 4-H Club will hold their own sign-up meeting by April 15. All Hardin County youth from Kindergarten to age 18 can join 4-H.
Kindergarten through 2nd graders can join a Cloverbud Club and will participate in group activities, but not complete project books.
Youth who are 8 years old as of January 1, 2021 AND in 3rd grade can join a 4-H Club to take projects, go to camp, and participate in fair.
