Helen Shaw was a member of Harrod United Methodist Church
Helen L. Shaw, 94, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at 5:05 p.m. at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, to Harry Elmer and Mildred (Vance) Gray who preceded her in death. On Feb. 17, 1952, she married Leo Eugene Shaw who preceded her in death in 1994.
Helen retried from Continental Can, where she worked as an inspector. She was a member of the Harrod United Methodist Church. She was a proud member of the knitting club at the church.
She is survived by two daughters: Deborah Ann Hauenstein of West Newton and Christine Sue Graver of Alger; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Dean (Shelly) Gray of Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son, Craig Eugene Shaw; two sisters: Esther Ballard and Marcella Anspach; and three brothers: Harold “Gene” Gray, Doyle “Andy” Gray and Harry Elmer Gray.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster. The funeral service for Helen will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrod United Methodist Church.
