The Village of Ada, Ohio has issued a snow emergency effective immediately (5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15) due to the expected accumulation of snow in excess of 4 inches according to Michael Harnishfeger, police chief
As such: during the existence of an emergency snow condition, no person shall park a motor vehicle upon the following public streets in the Village, as follows:
No parking shall be permitted on:
Gilbert Street from Lima Avenue to North Street;
Johnson Street from Lima Avenue to North Street;
Simon Street Lima Avenue to North Street;
Lincoln Avenue from Corporation line to Corporation line;
Turner Avenue from Main Street to Grand Avenue;
Montford Avenue from Main Street to Liberty Street,
Highland Avenue from Gilbert Street to Simon Street,
Buckeye Avenue from Johnson Street to Grand Avenue and University Avenue from Main Street to Ream Street.
Vehicles parked in violation of this section will be towed at the expense of the owner. The registered owner of a vehicle parked in violation of this section is prima-facie liable. Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100).
Please note that emergency snow condition shall cease to exist upon the removal or melting of the snow accumulation from the Village streets or when the Village Administrator and Chief of Police or their respective designees concur that such emergency has ceased to exist.

Here are a few tips from the Village of Ada:
• Please move cars to off street parking. Off street public parking is available on a first come, first serve basis at the Railroad Depot and behind the Municipal Building.
• Keep refuse/recycling containers off the streets. Plow crews can be more efficient and safe in their jobs with fewer obstructions in the roadway.
• Follow the Ada Police Department on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Ada-Police-Department-180046255368699) for local snow emergency updates.
• If you don't have to be on the roadways, don't be! Plow crews will work as needed throughout the storm; it is safer and more efficient for everyone if we let them do their jobs with as little traffic as possible.
