VAN BUREN - The Ada varsity wrestling team competed in the Van Buren Duals event Saturday.
Bryan, Ashland Crestview, Shawnee, Cory-Rawson, Riverdale, Ada and North Baltimore also participated in the event.
Ada individual records:
Clayton McClain 5-0
Colton Biederman 4-1
Antonio Pettit 2-2
Cameron Bober 3-2
Kyle Mattson 1-4
Jonathan McClain 2-3
"We wrestled solid, and it was great to get back onto the mat after coming out of a two-week hiatus because of quarantine," said Bulldog head coach David Ames.
The Bulldog matmen were forced to miss the Northwest Conference championship meet the previous weekend due to quarantine.
Ada is scheduled to wrestle in Kenton at a Hardin County tri-meet vs. the host Wildcats and Riverdale on Tuesday, February 16.
The Bulldogs then will prepare for the Div. III sectionals at Lima Central Catholic Feb. 26-27.
