NORTH ROBINSON - The Ada swim teams competed at the eight-team North Central Ohio Swim League championship meet Saturday at the William Ferrell Natatorium.
Meet host North Robinson-Colonel Crawford swept to the boys, girls and combined team league championships. CC beat second-place Upper Sandusky in the boys standings (316.5-284) and girls standings (365-209.5), as well as in the combined scores (681.5-493.5).
The Lady Bulldog swimmers finished a strong third with 136 points. Meanwhile, the fourth-place Bulldog boys tallied 61.5 points.
Ada finished a solid fourth in the combined points standings with 197.5.
Senior Paige Cole placed first in the 100 breaststroke, and came in third in the 100 butterfly.
Ada sophomore Carlie Oldfield won the 100 backstroke and touched second in the 50 freestyle.
Cole and Oldfield also swam legs for the second-place 200 medley relay girls quartet. The duo swam for the third-place 200 free relay foursome as well. Sophomores Kaitlyn Bowden and Kayla Wince swam the other legs for both relay teams.
Bowden also finished fifth in the girls 200 freestyle race.
Freshman Jack Baumgartner posted the top Ada boys finish with a seventh-place showing in the 200 individual medley. He also swam for two fourth-place relay teams.
"We had some great swims today, and are very happy with how we did as a team," said Ada first-year head coach Katey Stuart.

Ada will compete in a dual meet at local rival Kenton Tuesday, February 2 in the final regular season meet at the Hardin County YMCA natatorium.
Ada swims in the Div. III sectionals Saturday, February 13 at the Lima YMCA. Districts are the following weekend Feb. 19 at Bowling Green, with the state meet again at Canton Feb. 25-28.
