ONU School of Visual and Performing Arts presents ONU Choreographers Showcase in two performances this weekend at The Freed Center, according to Dylan Wood, director of the center.
Show times are 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, and 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2.
The performances will showcase multiple dance genres, danced by a cast of over 40 guest artists and students.
From a depiction of commuters in rush hour traffic to the battle of the sexes, choreographers use the language of dance to tell stories that communicate and connect.
According to director of dance Elizabeth Cozad-Howard, “Dance is where [we] find the space to create art, communicate and express experiences through the moving body.”
This annual showcase is sponsored in part by the Committee on Cultural and Special Events.
The program is attached at the bottom of this story.
