Men's Track & Field:
Senior All-American Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) and freshmen Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) and Luke Shellhaas (Greenville/Versailles) have been named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region squads for the 2019 outdoor season, the national office announced Sunday.

McVey received the award after securing the top time in the 5,000-meter run with a career-best 14:24.24 performance at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central (Ill.). His time edged out Case Western's Trey Razanauskas (14:24.91) for the region's best effort and placed him 10th on the NCAA Division III national performance list.
The senior will graduate from Ohio Northern with 11 career All-Great Lakes Region honors in track and field.
Buderer and Shellhaas each garnered their second career all-region accolades after receiving similar honors during the 2019 indoor campaign.
During the outdoor slate, Buderer cleared 4.66 meters (15' 3.5") at the 2019 OAC Championships for runner-up honors and the second-best effort in the region. The vault, which ranks 35th in the country this season, also guided the freshman to his first career All-OAC recognition.
In addition, Shellhaas cleared 4.56 meters (14" 11.5") at the same meet for a third-place finish and the fifth-best vault in the region. With the vault, the Greenville product recorded his second All-OAC honor after earning all-conference kudos in the indoor season.
McVey will represent the Ohio Northern men's track and field team this weekend in the 5,000-meter run at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio to conclude the season.
