Ada tennis defeats Elida

ELIDA - The visiting Ada tennis team took down Elida 4-1 Monday evening.
Ada improved to 9-3 with their fourth win in five matches, while Elida fell to 7-3 after the loss. Ada is now 5-1 this season against Western Buckeye League foes.
The top three Bulldog singles players each won their matches easily in straight sets.
Ada senior Cade Mullins improved to 12-2 with his first singles victory, while junior Isaac Spar increased his mark to 11-2 with a win at second singles. Miranda Wills improved to 11-3 with a victory at third singles.
Morgan Swick and Dexter Woods teamed up to win at first doubles in a tough two-set match.
"We continued to play some great tennis today against a solid Elida team," said head coach Cody Hurley. "Cade, Isaac and Miranda continued their success this season in the singles line-up with straightforward wins. Morgan Swick and Dexter Woods picked up a big straight sets win at first doubles.
"Gabe Hasan and Hunter Wells nearly pulled off an incredible comeback at second doubles, but fell just short in the third set," he added.

The Ada/Ottawa Hills match is set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohio Northern University Marmon Courts.
