Bulldog Hall voted 2nd team All-NWC in football; 3 Mustangs 1st team

DELPHOS - Ada senior lineman Ethan Hall was voted second team All-Northwest Conference in balloting conducted by the league coaches at Delphos Monday evening.

The versatile Hall was also named honorable mention all-league on defense at linebacker.

Ada senior Noah Mattson made honorable mntion all-league on the defensive line.

Bulldog senior receiver Brad Clum and sophomore wideout Zac Swaney also received honorable mention notice on offense.

Ada junior linebacker Holden Purdy, junior defensive back Phillip Coulson and sophomore DB Daniel Mattson were named honorable mention all-conference on defense.

Ada finished 1-6 in the league and 2-8 overall.

Allen East ended up 4-3 in league play and 5-5 overall. Mustang junior wideout Cole Fletcher was voted first team offense.

AE senior Trenton Duran made the second team offense as a lineman, as did senior lineman Brennan Davies and sophomore receiver Bradden Crumrine.

Mustang junior defensive back Hunter Paxson and junior linebacker Blake Hershberger were voted first team All-NWC on defense.

AE senior lineman Jonah Meyer and classmate linebacker Dustin Rowe made the second team all-league defense.

Mustang junior receiver Bryce Belcher, senior receiver Jacob Treglia and Crumrine (specialist) were named honorable mention on offense.

AE sophomore Tyler Clum led the league in passing yards and TDs thrown to earn honorable mention all-league at the loaded quarterback position.

For the fifth consecutive season, Spencerville mentor Chris Sommers was selected Northwest Conference Coach of the Year in voting by his peers at the meeting in Delphos on Monday.  

Spencerville tied for the league championship with Crestview and Columbus Grove at 6-1 in NWC play.

Crestview senior quarterback Drew Kline repeated as league Offensive Player of the Year. Eli Yahl, a junior linebacker from Spencerville, was selected NWC Defensive Player of the Year.
