Blanchard Valley Hospital named one of 100 Great Community Hospitals
Blanchard Valley Hospital is proud to announce that it has been named one of Becker's Hospital Review's "100 Great Community Hospitals" in the United States. This is the fourth time that the organization has received this distinction.
This award comes on the heels of BVH being named among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals for the sixth time by IBM Watson Health, a leading provider of data-driven analytics and solutions to improve the cost and quality of health care.
Becker's Hospital Review's 100 Great Community Hospitals list is based on a hospital's quality, accolades and service to its community. The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on several outside rankings and rating organizations, including IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals, iVantage Health Analytics and the Chartis Center for Rural Health’s Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals, CareChex ratings, Leapfrog Group grades, Healthgrades awards and CMS stars, among other considerations.
Some hospitals on the list serve expansive rural geographies, while others care for small communities outside of large cities. Many of the hospitals have been recognized for their clinical quality, operational excellence and economic impact on the surrounding areas.
"We are extremely honored to be included among the Becker's Hospital Review's 100 Great Community Hospitals again this year," said Scott Malaney, president and CEO of Blanchard Valley Health System. "This kind of recognition is a testament to the quality of the associates, physicians and volunteers that work in our organization, and demonstrates our ability to deliver safe, high-quality care for the communities we serve."
