Ada team runs at county meet

ROUNDHEAD - The Ada cross country team ran at the five-team Hardin County Invitational meet on a hilly Roundhead course Tuesday evening.
"Last night's county meet went well considering the hilly course," said Ada head coach Josh Klein. "Our times were a little slower than normal, but given we had to run our longest hill to date - not just once, or twice, but three times - I am still happy with our performance."
The Bulldog boys took fourth of five teams, finishing right behind third-place USV.
Ada senior Miguel Jordan captured a third-place individual finish in the boys 29-runner field. Jordan was behind only Rams Zach Britton and Brady Hipsher, who took first and second, respectively.
Bulldog junior Michael Crouse finished ninth, while classmate Hunter Wells came in 17th. Freshman Riley Ferguson ended up 23rd, and freshman Keegan Giddens rounded out the Ada scorers in 26th place.
Ada freshman Lauren Mullins finished 13th and Bulldog senior Alexis Ennis came in 15th in a field of 23 girl runners.
In the final regular season meet of the season, Ada competes in the Northwest Conference championship meet this Saturday morning.
"I am looking forward to our conference meet at Spencerville this weekend," said Klein. "It will be a much flatter course, and should hopefully be much dryer than the last time we ran at Spencerville."
