St. Rita’s honors Sisters of Mercy with 40th annual Mercy Club Award
Mercy Health – St. Rita’s will honor the Sisters of Mercy at its annual Mercy Club Reception being held Wednesday, Sept. 26. This celebration honors those in the community, businesses, individuals, our employees, volunteers/auxiliary and medical staff, who continually provide support to its community.
St. Rita’s is celebrating 100 years of serving its community and so chose to recognize the work of the Sisters of Mercy, who founded St. Rita’s a century ago.
Traditionally, the Mercy Club Award is awarded to those who have been an instrumental part of our community. This year’s award will be given to the Sisters of Mercy for their decades of service to St. Rita’s and to the community as a whole, said Jacqueline Daley-Perrin, president of Mercy Health Foundation of Greater Lima.
Bob Baxter, president and CEO, Mercy Health – Lima and Dale Gisi, president, Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center will offer comments on St. Rita’s history and current state. Also offering comments will be Carol Buettner, chairman of the Mercy Health Foundation – Great Lima.
