Ada spikers fall at BL

BELLEFONTAINE - The Ada volleyball team started well but lost at perennial power Ben Logan Monday evening in four sets.
The Lady Bulldog spikers are now 3-3 after the loss.
Ada lost by a 25-22, 25-4, 13-25, 25-16 count.
"We started off strong in the first set and were up 19-14 but couldn't finish," said new Ada head coach Kyleigh Tabor. "We got down on ourselves in the second set, but turned it around and played extremely well in the third set. But we couldn't carry it over to the fourth.
"We are really working on our mental toughness and working as a team to eliminate our errors," she continued. "We are working on playing hard at all times and taking care of the ball on our side of the court."
Junior setter Sidney Gossard led the team in assists with 20, and she served up two aces while making 14 digs.
Senior Rilan Conley knocked down seven kills and came up with a dozen digs. Senior Raina England contributed six kills.
Senior Morgan Swick hustled up 12 digs and served a pair of aces.
Sophomore Megan Light drilled four kills and classmate Miranda Wills contributed a dozen digs. Sophomore Aubrey Madison came up with two blocks.
The Ada reserves also lost in three sets to the Lady Raiders.
Ada hosts county foe Hardin Northern and powerful Arlington Saturday in a tri-match starting at 10 a.m.
