Perseid meteor shower on view at Riverbend on Aug. 11
On Saturday, Aug. 11, at 9 p.m., Steve Rice of the Millstream Astronomy Club will present a program about the Perseid Meteor Shower at Hancock Park District’s (HPD) Riverbend Recreation Area, Shelter 5. Following the show, participants will safely observe Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and of course, the Perseid Meteor Shower. Look through the club’s telescopes or bring your own; the club can help you with set up.
All ages are welcome to attend this free program. Registration is not required.
Riverbend Recreation Area is located at 16618 TR 208, off SR 568, east of Findlay.
