Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) was recently honored with an “A” grade in the Spring 2018 Hospital Safety Score, by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization whose goal is to improve health care quality for consumers and purchasers.
This recognition is a reflection of how well hospitals protect patients from errors, accidents, injuries and infections. BVH was one of 750 hospitals awarded with an “A.”
The Hospital Safety Score uses 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to produce a single “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” score representing a hospital’s overall capacity to keep patients safe from preventable harm.
“We encourage people to understand the importance of quality when selecting a health care provider. At BVH our winning record speaks for itself,” added Williams.
“Blanchard Valley Hospital is proud to have earned this recognition for the sixth time and believe it is proof of our commitment to providing quality, patient-centered care,” stated Roxanne Williams, director of corporate quality and patient safety.
