Summer reading program starts Saturday

Theme: Build a better world

Come join the fun at the Ada Public Library on Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to sign up for Summer Reading 2017.

This year’s theme is Build A Better World celebrating the power in each and every one of us to build, create and imagine a better world. We’re also celebrating the Centennial of the Ada Public Library this year!

Bring the whole family to enjoy face painting, a steel drum band, 4-H animals, Touch-a-Truck (fire, ems, police) or to buy books at the huge FRIENDS of the Library Used Book Sale.

Summer Reading will run from Saturday, June 3, to Saturday, July 15, and has something for everyone! You may sign up and participate any time during the six weeks.

The Summer Reading calendar is stuffed full of programs for all ages: events geared toward babies and toddlers, daily fun for elementary and high school aged students, and events of interest for Adults too! The program varies slightly by age, and everyone from babies to adults can compete for prizes.

Stop by the Library or call 419-634-5246 with questions. We hope to see you on June 3rd and every day of summer reading to celebrate and enjoy the FREE and FUN activities and events to Build a Better World!

Please note: This year, events during summer reading are being held in the library, at Community Health Professionals and at Ada First United Methodist Church.

Please consult the library website (www.library.org) under the calendar of events tab to view monthly calendars and to view the program descriptions brochure to ensure you know the location of each event you wish to attend so you don’t miss a minute of the fun!
