The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law ranks first among Ohio law schools for first-time bar passage.
In the results for the February bar exam released by the Ohio Supreme Court on April 28, 2017, Ohio Northern University ranked first among Ohio law schools in first-time bar passage with a rate of 88 percent, which is well above the statewide average of 66 percent.
David Crago, interim dean of the Pettit College of Law, said, “We have a longstanding commitment to providing each student with the education and training needed to begin a successful legal career. The result of the most recent bar exam is confirmation of this commitment and an acknowledgement of the hard work of our graduates.”

Ohio Northern University – 88 percent
Ohio State University – 86 percent
University of Cincinnati – 80 percent
Capital University – 79 percent
Cleveland State University – 69 percent
University of Akron – 63 percent
University of Toledo – 54 percent
University of Dayton – 50 percent
Case Western Reserve University – 43 percent
