Getting the garden ready

What better place to have a series of talks about gardening than in a greenhouse. In this case, it's Laurie Laird instructing a full house of gardeners at New Leaf Garden Center in Ada on Saturday. Seminar attendees learned about the new and most popular plants for 2017, old wives tales about plants, natural insect and pest detergents, and more. Laurie owns and manages greenhouse and landscape design and installation businesses in Ada and Kenton. (Monty Siekerman photo)
