When Ada Kiwanis and Rotary get together

Santa and his chief elf show up at the meeting

By Jon Umphress
The Ada Kiwanis and the Ada Rotary Clubs met together on Dec. 13 at Community Health Professionals for their annual Christmas luncheon/auction.

Ada Kiwanis President Tom Kier welcomed all members and guests and thanked them for joining in the annual pre-Christmas tradition.

In brief Kiwanis business, Secretary Bill Fuller presented Perfect Attendance awards to Ada Kiwanians for the 2015-2016 administrative year.

Santa Claus (Kiwanian Jon Berg) and his Chief Elf (Kiwanian Bruce Neely) made their annual appearance and presided over the annual auction, where many Christmas-related gifts were presented to winners of the correct numbered ticket.

All proceeds from the event will be presented to the Ada Food Pantry and the ReStore Community Center.

The Ada Kiwanis Club will not meet on Tuesday Dec. 20 or 27, due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Regular meetings resume Tuesday Jan. 3. Member Amanda Bennett will have the program for that meeting.
