Coverage of the presidential election is once again going through Ohio Northern University.
For the second straight time, the C-SPAN Road to the White House Bus will travel to ONU and will be parked near the front of campus, between Hill and Dicke College of Business halls from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Members of the campus and area community are welcome to visit the bus.
The C-SPAN bus also visited campus in 2012, and the network’s staff members were so impressed with the large and enthusiastic turnout, it was decided to return to ONU. Ohio Northern is one of three Ohio universities the bus will visit. The others are Wright State and Otterbein universities.
The state-of-the-art C-SPAN bus is an interactive, educational experience with the goal of providing resources to enhance thought and discussion of government and public affairs.
Individuals are encouraged to stop by to use the touchscreen technology, ask questions, have the opportunity to be on camera, learn how C-SPAN works and earn give-a-ways.
“We are delighted that the C-SPAN bus is returning to campus during the presidential election cycle,” ONU President Daniel DiBiasio said. “It is a resource that underscores the university’s efforts to encourage our students to be well-informed and actively engaged in the civic affairs of the nation, our state and in local communities.”
