Ada police canine unit assists in narcotics investigation
Ada Police Department’s canine unit assisted the Hardin County Crime Task Force in a narcotics investigation on July 29, according to Keith Everhart, Hardin County Sheriff.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., on July 29, the department initiated a traffic stop on County Road 144 near County Road 195 east of Kenton.
As a result, 125 individual hits of heroin were confiscated along with other drug paraphernalia.
Two adult females were arrested on numerous charges including possession, trafficking and tampering with evidence.
The women were incarcerated at the Multi-County Correctional Center, Marion. Uniformed officers from the sheriff’s office, Kenton police, Ada police canine unit and county prosecutor’s office assisted the task force.
The sheriff’s department also reported the following investigation to the Icon:
On July 26 the task force initiated a traffic stop with the assistance of uniformed sheriff deputies on State Route 31 south of Kenton.
As a result 60 individual hits of heroin were discovered along with drug paraphernalia.
Two adult males and one adult female were taken into custody for numerous charges. These include possession, tampering with evidence and permitting drug abuse. All three suspects were incarcerated at the Multi-County Correctional Center, Marion.
