Jane Hoffman, 89, died on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1926 in Lima, Ohio, to Francis and Lucille (Razor) Blosser who preceded her in death. On Oct. 11, 1947, she married Dallas Eugene Hoffman and he died on Nov. 24, 2010.
Jane was a homemaker, beautician, and retired farmer. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed the time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She served as Junior Church and Junior Choir director for many years at Ada First United Methodist Church and also sang in the Senior Choir. She was a member of the Matthews Sunday School Class and always shared memories of the Sunday School Class picnics.
She played various instruments and gave lessons on the guitar, piano and accordion. All of which she loved to play. She visited local nursing homes, played the accordion and sang for the residents. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and painting.
Surviving are her four daughters: Becky Wade of Olmstead, N.Y., Jan (Zenovy) Staniecki of Sandusky, Bobbi (George) Fee of Dola and GiGi (Randy) Fetter of Ada; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Ken (Theresa) Blosser of Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Paul Hoffman and Dallas “Dal” Hoffman; a son-in-law, Tom Wade; a sister, Sue Truex; and a brother, Tom Blosser.
A celebration of life is planned for later in July on the 30th beginning at 11 a.m. at the family farm located at 0920 Township Road 30, Ada, Ohio, 45810 with Phillip Compton officiating.
