Liberty Conservation Club will be hoppin' this weekend with their monthly fish fry on Saturday and annual fishing derby set for Sunday.
The fry, which features fish and chicken, is open to the public. Cost is $8 for all you can eat.
The popular fry is held the second Saturday of each month, except August, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday's fishing derby will feature $1,000 worth of fish that have been added to those already there. Some of the added fish, mostly cat and pan fish, have been tagged.
Those who catch tagged fish win money, the top prize being $100. The derby is open to members. Not a member? You can join on the spot.
Set up for the derby begins at 9 a.m. Fishing for kids is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Adult fishing is from 2 to 5 p.m.
The club is located on the east side of State Route 235 two miles north of Ada.
