Bob McCurdy receives the oath of office Monday evening as a Ada Public Libary board member, becoming the seventh member of the board.
He was named to the position by the school board, which has one member from the school on the library board. Bob, whose term expires in 2019, replaces Michael Hertig. Bob was appointed co-chair of the board's building and grounds/development and planning committee.
The library is considering an addition with the possibility of having $1.1 million available for the project. The new library board member has recent experience with construction projects, having chaired the $6 million new United Methodist Church building.
He encouraged board members to begin considering an architect for the library addition. Bob is special assistant to the dean of the ONU College of Pharmacy
