Ada Bulldog marching band prepares for fall competitions with Pac-Man theme

If you’re a gaming fan, you should enjoy the 2015 Ada High School Marching Band competition show – Pac-Man! 

In the popular Pac-Man arcade game originally released in 1980 Pac-Man's goal was to eat all of the pellets on the game board while avoiding being tagged by the Ghosts.

The Ghosts' goal was to catch Pac-Man. During this years show the band performs on a life size Pac-Man maze with musicians portraying the ghosts and the color guard portraying Ms. Pac-Man, the female protagonist. 

The show includes the original video game musical theme as well as original music composed by Ada High School Band Director, Jonathan Lischak. 

The Pac-Man show features saxophone soloist Drayson Gamble, flute soloist Libbie Milks, trombone soloist Meredith Marshall, trumpet soloists Hailey Maier and Evan Smittle, French horn soloist Zach Beckwith, and percussion soloists Chanler Hughart and Meredith Morgan. 

This year’s marching band includes 29 instrumentalists and 9 color guard members. 

Libbie Milks, Zach Beckwith and Drayson Gamble will lead the Ada Marching Band as Drum Majors.  Amy Webb serves as the Color Guard Director, with Color Guard Captains Lindsay Crouse and Maddie Preston. 

The Ada High School Marching Band shared a preview performance of their competition show with family and friends at the conclusion of two weeks of band camp on July 31. 

The Ada High School Marching Band will take their show on the road competing at the Revere Marching Band Invitational, the Buckeye Invitational Marching Band Competition, the Bloom Carroll Classic Marching Band Competition, and the Bands of America Grand Nationals Championship in Indianapolis.
