ExchangeCore Web Services website design and development services newest Icon advertiser

The Ada Icon’s newest advertiser is ExchangeCore Web Services with an office in Lima. The company offers website design and development services for individuals and businesses.

According to Joe Meyer of ExchangeCore, “We also provide several web hosting options for anyone who is looking to publish their site to the web.”

ExchangeCore is operated by Meyer, a 2011 Bluffton University graduate who holds a bachelor’s  degree in Information Technology. His partner, Christopher Hougard, works with clients in Milwaukee, Wisc.

Cash Mob returns to Ada - brought to you by Buy Ada First Committee

A “cash mob” is coming to Ada in March.

The Buy Ada First Committee, an ad hoc group consisting of local business people and residents, will hold the community’s second cash mob on Tuesday, March 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. The location, which is a prominent Main Street business, will be revealed soon.

“Last year the Buy Ada First Committee hosted its first ever Cash Mob in October at Reicherts,” said Heather Cox, of the committee. “It was very successful and we want to continue promoting our local businesses and the Ada community.”

Sarah Crawford baked a batch of winning cupcakes to take home the Ada Public Library's Chocolate Bake-Off blue ribbon at the Feb. 12 event. The panel of judges included Chris Vermillion, Deb Curlis, and Chanda Smith.  Lucky judges!

Ada Public Library hosts free computer training lab

The Ada Public Library will be hosting a traveling computer training lab.  Amanda Bennett, Director, told the Icon that the lab will host a number of classes.  All classes are free and open to the public.

No. 4 women's basketball finishes perfect in OAC Regular Season play with 77-42 win over Capital

The No. 4 Ohio Northern women's basketball team celebrated Senior Day with a 77-42 victory over Capital on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears have now won a school record 23 games in a row and stand at 24-1 on the season and 18-0 in the OAC. The Crusaders fall to 14-11, 9-9.

ONU becomes the first team to finish the OAC regular season undefeated since the 1999-00 season.

The 24 victories this season also sets a new school record.

"Driving Miss Daisy" performed at Bluffton March 9

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will present “Driving Miss Daisy,” a drama by Alfred Uhry, performed by the Van Wert Civic Theatre, at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at The Centre, Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

Tickets are $10 each and are available in Bluffton at Greg’s Pharmacy, Village Cut ‘n’ Curl and the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Tickets may also be ordered by contacting the Bluffton chamber at [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the performance.
