Iron Man showing at Ada Theatre

Iron Man 3 will be showing at Ada Theatre from Thursday, May 2 until Thursday, May 9.  The movie is rated PG-13.

Showtimes include:

Thursday at 9 p.m. (3D) and 11:45 p.m. (2D)

Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9:40 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday matinee at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
 
Daily at 7 p.m.

Ticket cost:
2D - $4
3D - $6

Eugene Shepherd, 1934 - 2013

Eugene Shepherd, age 78, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 9:23 a.m. at his residence in Alger.

He was born on December 11, 1934, in Floyd County, Kentucky, to George and Lucie (Moore) Sheperd. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Cridersville.

He first married Venice Combs and she died on September 1, 1998. He then married Isana Kay Williams on February 12, 2001, and she survives in Alger.

Eugene retired in 1981 after working 20 years as a welder for International Car of Kenton. He attended the United Baptist Church of Alger.

Norman Ray Evans, 1950 - 2013

Norman Ray Evans, age 62, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 9:22 p.m. at his residence in Alger, Ohio.

He was born on July 26, 1950 in Lima, Ohio to Raymond & Thelma (Schaub) Evans who preceded him in death. On April 6, 1968 he married Peggy Sue (Fetter) Evans and they are divorced.

Norman was a self-employed painter. 

A lesson in school bus safety

Marie Gossman, school  bus driver at Ada Schools, visited Read, Set, Grow Preschool to talk with the students about school bus safety. She answered lots of questions from the students and read a story about bus manners!

Liberty National Bank sponsors "Free Shred Your Documents Week"

 

Do you have lots of paperwork you'd like to shred but don't have a shredder?

During the week of May 6 to May 10, Liberty National Bank, Ada, will have available locked containers provided by Certified Document Destruction, Inc., a shredding company from Wauseon, for individuals to drop off unwanted paperwork to be destroyed.

This is a free service to the community to help fight the growing concern of Identity Theft. These containers will be available during office hours, Monday through Friday.

Ada cultivates 3rd graders interest in Arbor Day

The Ada Tree Commission once again celebrated Arbor Day with Ada Elementary 3rd grade classes on Friday.

Students learned about Arbor Day, Tree City USA, and Tree Campus USA, all the while wanting to know if they were getting their own trees!  Each student did receive their own Dawn Redwood tree to take home to plant.
