Allow the Icon to pose this question: “Can you name the community that fits the following description?”

Carlee Marshall, Ada sophomore, creates a ceramic tile in Ceramics II class. The image on the tile is a rhinoceros. Her first tile featured an owl.

On school board agenda: Ada eighth graders may tour Washington, D.C., in April

Ada eighth graders may be visiting the nation’s capital in April. The Ada school board will act on approval of the class trip during the Nov. 21 school board meeting.

If approved, the trip to Washington, D.C., will take place April 9-13. Class chaperones will be Mr. Styer, Mr. Lee, Mrs. Beachler and Mrs. Gossard.

Several additional items are on the board’s agenda including entering executive session to discuss employment and compensation of public employees.

One of these trees could be yours

There's still time to bid on one of these Christmas trees or for any number of holiday-related silent auction items at Community Health Professionals Festival of Trees. The deadline to bid is 6 p.m., Friday. Watch for a video.

 

 

Aspire to be...

Alexandra Thomas and Justin Brayshaw are the students behind the Mardi Gras masks. The two represent the Ada High School Language Club during the afternoon high school Aspirations student activity fair. During the fair nearly a dozen Ada High School clubs, athletic teams and organizations shared information with junior high students. The idea behind the fair was to introduce future high school students to the many activities available to them when in high school.

I hopped onto Discover Ohio's site to find somewhere we hadn't been in the past for a quick weekend getaway, and I ended up at a link for an inn on the campus of Ohio Northern University.
