Ada is a biker's paradise on Saturday

The bikers are coming to Ada on Saturday.

There could be as many as 300 – all on 10-speeds and similar varieties. Their arrival is part of the annual Young’s Ice Cream Charity Bike Tour, an 83-mile (one way) jaunt from Yellow Springs to Ada and return.

County's five-year strategic plan explained in Ada Wednesday

Vision: Unite our community heritage with new growth, expansion, innovation and talent for Hardin County to become a model community in northwest Ohio.

Ada CIC members will hear first-hand about that vision, which is part of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance five-year strategic plan.

The session is part of CIC’s monthly meeting, open to the public is at noon in the Dean’s Heritage Room (Conference Room 7) in McIntosh Center at Ohio Northern University.

Representatives of the county chamber and business alliance will make the presentation in Ada.

Apollo's Academy of Medical Careers open house July 21

Apollo’s Academy of Medical Careers will hold an open house on Monday, July 21 from 2-6 p.m. in its new downtown location. For the next two years, The Enterprise Building at 201 W. Market Street, Lima, will be home to Apollo’s adult medical programs while the school’s main campus is under construction.

The medical community, area businesses, city, county and economic development officials, along with the community, are invited to tour the facility.

What exactly is “Music on Main?” and what is “Buy Ada First?”

The Buy Ada First committee hosted its second Music on Main of the summer downtown on July 11. The evening at the Depot Park included music by the Band Kwik Fire (sponsored by Liberty National Bank). The Ada Kiwanis Club sold Harlan’s Chicken Barbecue dinners.
