Bulldogs rack up 61 points in second win in a row

A huge night from Freshman quarterback Seth Conley helped the visiting Ada Bulldogs rack up 61 points en route to a decisive Northwest Conference victory over the Paulding Panthers, 61-14. For a second consecutive week the Bulldogs won behind a packed stat line from Conley, as the gunslinger tossed for 375 yards and 5 scores. The win moves Ada to (3-3) on the season and (2-2) in the NWC.

Ohio Northern University’s Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi begins recruiting season

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi kicked off recruiting season with the second annual “Meet the Firms Night” on Sept. 4 in the ONU McIntosh Ballroom.

More than 50 students attended the event, including undergraduate accounting majors and concentrations as well as Master of Professional Practice in Accounting and Juris Doctor candidates, with 12 accounting firms, including Big Four, regional and local firms. The event gave students the chance to network and pursue internships or full-time opportunities.

You are a senior. What are your plans next year?

I’ve looked at ONU and plan to visit Ohio University. I’d like to major in pre-vet and then go to grad school and become a veterinarian specializing in large animals.

Rep. Robert Sprague guest speaker to Ada Kiwanis and Rotary clubs

At a joint meeting of the Ada Kiwanis and Rotary Chubs held on Tuesday, September 30, members welcomed Ohio Representative Robert Sprague. Sprague is currently serving his second term in the Ohio House of Representatives, following his appointment in February 2011.

He serves the 83rd District, which consists of Hancock and Hardin Counties, as well as parts of Logan County.

The Ada Public Library was recently the recipient of art work donated by Ohio Northern University student, Abby Brown.

Brown, (Majoring in Advertising Design, Minoring in Marketing) created a literary alphabet--which now hangs in the Ada Public Library's Reading Room--in Professor Melissa Eddings Mancuso's Art 3301 Screenprinting.
